2022 DeAnna Lee Dance Auditions for all three of our dance teams, the Boot Boogie Babes, Boot Girls, and the Boot Chicks begin soon! We are in search of every level of dancer who would like to join a safe space for women of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds to grow through dance and friendships, and women who believe that empowered women, empower women!
For the 2022 season, you can be a Boot Boogie Babes (Advanced Level), Boot Girl (Intermediate Level), or one of the Boot Chicks (Beginner/ Improver Level) from anywhere in the world! All our team lessons will be in person in studio and will also broadcast virtually weekly!
Here’s how you get started with the Audition process! First, make sure to purchase the Audition Dance lessons here: 2022 Audition Dance
The 2022 Audition Dance will be taught in three, one-hour in person and virtual lessons that also include a lesson on flare and styling, how to bring the sass, and most importantly how to feel confident during auditions!
NOW, let’s talk about the 2022 Audition process!
AUDITIONS WILL BE BOTH IN PERSON & VIRTUAL!
Location for in person Auditions: STROUM JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER, Mercer Island, WA
In each round, you will be asked to perform the 2022 Audition Dance plus one other dance from the level at which you are auditioning.

If you are interested in auditioning for the Boot Boogie Babes (Advanced Level), you will need to know all 4 dances in our Audition Boot Camp series. If you are auditioning for the Boot Girls (Intermediate Level), you will need to know all Boot Girl and Boot Chicks level dances. If you are auditioning for Boot Chicks (Beginner/ Improver Level), you need to know all the Boot Chicks dances from Audition Boot Camp.
All audition dances are taught in our Virtual Audition Boot Camp series and are available for purchase here.
During Auditions we will go over the Audition dance quickly, answer any questions you may have about choreography, technique, and styling. It’s best to learn it before you attend Auditions, so you are ready to go! Reach out to existing members of the DLD organization to go over dances and rehearse. Our Boot Sisters are always ready and willing to help new ladies!

FYI/ Additional Information About DLD:Â Each team rehearses once a week for one hour between mid-February through December 1st. Team dues are $50/ month. We have a performance schedule for the year that we will give you so you can let us know how it works with your schedule. As a member of the DeAnna Lee Dance organization, we ask that you make us a priority. We always understand when you have sick children, work conflicts, vacations, etc. But as a performance team, if you miss you are responsible for learning what was taught that week. You will always have plenty of Boot Sisters to help you catch up. Also, all of our rehearsals will be in person and virtual.
For Auditions please wear comfortable clothing that will enable you to dance along with your favorite cowboy boots. If you don’t have cowboy boots, you can wear comfortable shoes/ tennis shoes. TIP: We know where to get cowboy boots on the cheap. Ask us! We’ll share our secrets!
Think work-out clothes and cowboy boots! Bring water!

If you are wanting to start a Boot Boogie Babes team in your city, the Audition Boot Camp will give you all the tools, technique, and styling from beginner to advanced to be able to get this kick started in your own hometown.
 This is just the first step! You’ve gotta know the Boot Boogie Babes dances, then show us that you can dance them. We could even bring a team of DeAnna Lee Dancers to your town to help you launch!
